Good point. So it´s a good thing being a Boocas snapper isn´t a job. It´s a status carry on going out as you were, taking photos/videos as you were, but everything you submit from now on will be given special treatment.
Silvereye photos always go above those of ordinary snappers. Goldeneye photos always go at the top. You´ve shown that you take good photos consistently and your efforts deserve to be showcased.
Members will be able to browse and search photos / videos by photographer level.
If you want, we´ll give you photographer cards to give out so people know where to find your photos. Goldeneyes are also given ID cards.
All Goldeneye and Silvereye photos in public galleries have the Boocas logo added to them. If posting to a personal gallery, the photographer may choose whether to add the logo or not.
When promoted, each Goldeneye has a unique watermark created for them (might just be their initials) that they can choose to add to their photos and charge a price (that they set) for the unmarked photos.
Boocas facilitates everything from watermarking to ensuring you are paid. And of course your photos are showcased across the entire site.
Not really. It´s recognising that there´s a lot of photographic talent out there who could be rewarded for it, only it´s too much hassle setting up the commercial aspects.
It´s entirely up to each Goldeneye whether they watermark their photos or not, and what price they set - we just provide the means to do so.
Silvereyes don´t have to if they don´t want to. But cards are handy for helping people find your photos.
Not really. Like we said, it´s a status you earn. What you do with it is your call - go where you want, take however many photos you want.
What we do ask of Goldeneyes is that if they are going to an Event as a Boocas snapper, they do three things: Give out cards as they take photos Upload all photos by 5pm the following day Unless taken at a private Event, upload all photos they take, including those they are using elsewhere e.g. keyrings, another website etc.
As long as these three requirements are carried out, Goldeneyes are free to use the Boocas brand to endorse any photographic activity of their own.
Goldeneyes can use everything provided by Boocas (photographer cards, ID card, watermarking and payment technology and of course the brand itself) to back up their own initiatives.
