42nd Street
42nd Street
Address : 2 Bootle Street
Location : Manchester
The music policy is mainly indie and the club is a proud bastion of all things Mancunian, with drinks prices that are typical of indie clubs (5th Avenue, The Venue et al).

If you´re heading to 42nd Street then it´s in a great location – it´s on the busy Deansgate, well served by busses and taxis, and there´s even a greasy takeaway a few steps from the front door – bonus!

5th Avenue
5th Avenue

A firm favourite with students, many a fresher has popped their clubbing cherry here. This passage to adulthood is undoubtedly eased by the club´s main selling point: astonishingly cheap drinks.

Is anybody out there?

Despite government denials, we can confirm that AREA51 will be crash landing very soon right in the heart of Manchester. Intense speculation and internet chatter has intensified since the curious and highly suspicious abduction of several renowned DJ’s and club events nationwide.

Experienced observers believe that the secret site is to be used as a testing facility for technically advanced dance music whose rationale is to target a highly classified, more perceptive clubber. Indeed, rumours of stealth style technology being present at this site have been corroborated by reliable witness reports that a notorious FUNKTION 1 agent has been observed making clandestine visits to this location.

A spokesman for a shadowy organisation named The Lone Gunman Good Clubbing Faction demanded that information of this project be declassified as a matter of urgency and issued the following statement: “If you are an electro sceptic, a techno disbeliever, a minimal tech doubter or a dirty–twisted house conspiracy theorist, then I would urge you to make your way to this location on Friday 1st February… as we believe this cover up will be exposed, and Manchester will be a better place for it …the proof is out there!”

Attic
Address : Archway 50
Location : Manchester
Fantastic venue capturing the underground vibe of Manchester, currently playing host to Kindergarten, Stylus and Phuture et al. Holding around 150 guests, you gain access to the venue up a circular steel staircase. Inside the toilets are tiny, and the speakers are huge – just the way we like them! The Attic recently underwent a refit, with more sound system tweaks and a lick of paint – drinks prices are still good, and the Thirsty Scholar underneath makes the perfect pre–party.
